Distracted

Were have I been you ask? I know, I haven't blogged in forever. I have missed it. I have a couple of reasons really. One is that I'm reading a great book. So when I have free time I really want to curl up with this book. Escape to a land of adventure, filled with lots of heart pounding excitement. Not to mention lovable characters, a few fairies, and a dragon or two. If you haven't read any of the Fablehavens you have GOT to pick one up. They are so much fun!! Right now I'm reading number 4 and it's hard to put down. Another reason it's been so long is that my computer is giving me problems. It won't upload any photo's. It's infuriating and needless to say makes it kind of difficult to blog. So I have to wait for Mark to get home from work so that I can use his laptop. Needless to say, after getting dinner over with and the kids into bed, quite frankly, I'm tired and working on a blog then isn't very appealing. I wish a magic Genie would suddenly appear and fix my computer. Probably not gonna happen. Anyway I'm gonna try and do better. But not until we get back from a little family road trip we've got planned. In the true fashion of Clark Griswold we are headed to our own little version of Wally World. I can't wait to tell you all about it when we get back. See you in about a week. :)

Easter

Yeah, I know. Easter was two weeks ago, but I figure that if I'm still vacuuming up Easter grass, then it's not too late to post a couple of pictures. :P Easter was quiet and simple this year. It was nice. And I was glad not to be lying in a hospital bed gutted like a fish.

The Birthday Girl Turns 14!!!

It can't be. Can it? Kaylie is turning 14! I'm much too young to have a child that old. (I know, right?) It boggles my mind really. It seems like she was just my little baby girl. She is still adorable. Her birthday landed on Sunday this year so on Friday I kidnapped her from school and we went to lunch and shopping. We had SO much fun. Then today we had cake at Nana's and opened presents. Matthew totally smashed his little finger, horribly bad right before the ceremonies and kind of stole Kaylie's thunder. But as usual she was a great sport. The thing I remember most about Kaylie's birth is that after she was born I just sat and held her... and stared and stared. She being my first, it was all so surreal. I could hardly dare believe that this beautiful little bundle, with such incredibly long eyelashes, truly belonged to me. That Mark and I had brought her into the world. I was in awe. And I was in love. Happy Birthday Kaylie! I'm so thankful that Father in Heaven sent you to us, and that you were the beginning of our family. We love you.
